Author, speaker and mentor
Maren Ashworth
I help tired leaders tell the truth, keep their word and finish well.
Books
Books for people who carry others
Short chapters, plain language and questions at the end of each one. Use them alone or with a team.
Room to Be Honest
Leading with the whole truth in a world that rewards a polished one
Twelve short chapters on telling the truth to your team, your family and yourself. Each chapter ends with three questions you can use in a staff meeting or a quiet hour.
About
A writer who still answers her own mail.
Maren Ashworth writes and speaks for people who carry other people: pastors, founders, teachers and parents. She has served in local churches for more than twenty years, and she mentors a small group of leaders each year. Her message is plain: tell the truth, keep your word, and rest before you break.
Nobody needs a leader who is never tired. They need one who is never false.
Speaking
What I speak about
Every talk can be fitted to your room: a keynote, a breakout, a retreat series or a Sunday message. Tell me who is listening and I will shape it to them.

Keeping your word
Small promises, kept for years, are what trust is made of. A talk for founders, pastors and managers.
Mentoring the next ten years
How to choose, invite and walk with the people who will lead after you.
Writing as obedience

Invitations
Invite me to speak
Tell me about your event. I read every request myself. Early requests are easiest to say yes to.

A short note is fine. If you are not sure about a date or a budget, say so and we will work it out together.
Partner
Help keep the invitations open
Some invitations come from churches and schools that cannot cover travel. Partners make it possible to say yes to them. Giving is always optional and always handled by a secure provider, never on this website.
